Becoming a Christian

If you are not a Christian, you need to learn about God’s free gift of salvation. There is nothing you can do to earn salvation.   Remember that no matter where you are on your journey to God,  he will meet you wherever you are.  You can request to meet with our minister or one of our Elders at anytime.

Here are some things you can do now to get started in a new life with God:

1. Realize that above all and anyone else, God loves you! John 3:16. God loved us so much he sent his Son to die. Ephesians 1:7-10. God took away your sins.

2. Admit that you do things that do not please God. Romans 3:23. All fall short of God’s ideal.

3. Turn your heart around. Acts 2:38 . You know you are doing wrong – stop doing it.

4. Confess to yourself and others that Jesus is Lord, that He is truly the Son of God. Romans 10:8-10. Salvation comes through Jesus Christ.

5. Be baptized into Christ. Matthew 28:18-20.

6. Become a new person and new child of God. 2 Corinthians 5:17.  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come.

7. Become a devoted student of the Way. 2 Timothy 2:15. Begin now to live the Christian life.
