There is only one true God, who designed and created everything that exists. He rules over all that He has created in love, wisdom, and justice. Although God is one, He presents himself in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Son, Jesus Christ, is completely God and came to this earth as a human being. His life revealed God to us, and his death was a sacrifice for the sins of mankind to satisfy the justice of God. The resurrection of Jesus overcame the power of death and gave us the opportunity of life with God after death. Jesus is now with the Father and personally intercedes on our behalf.
The Holy Spirit is completely God and does the work of the Father and the Son. He dwells within Christians, helping to transform us into what God wants us to be.
The books of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired word of God. The Bible is our only standard for all matters of faith and life.
Salvation is by God’s grace, through the death of Jesus on the cross. It is needed because sin has separated us from God. Salvation is received through faith, sealed in confession and baptism, and is demonstrated in a life lived in submission to God and in service to others.
Worship is the giving of our self, our thoughts, and our emotions to God’s use. Our service to God is not centered on a time or a building, because we are the temple of God. The test of worship is not only what happens at church, but also what happens at home, at work, and wherever we go.
